Puerto Escondido is located on the coast of the state of Oaxaca in the southern part of Mexico.
How do I get to Puerto Escondido?
Puerto Escondido has an airport that you can fly into from Guadalajara or Mexico City. It is slowly expanding to be an international airport and at this time you can get direct flights with United Airlines from Houston. Otherwise you do need to first fly to Mexico City or Gudalajara.
What airlines do you suggest?
United, AreoMexico, Viva Areobus and Volaris fly into Puerto Escondido. Typically you will find cheaper flights with Volaris and Viva Areobus. Both Volaris and Areobus fly from Mexico City and Guadalajara.
We recommend Volaris and you can fly from Oakland, Los Angeles, Dallas, and many other places in the United States. They typically are the most ecomical.

Where to stay in Puerto Escondido?
We have 2 rooms available to book for staying in the La Punta neighborhood. They are a 10 min walk to the beach. These rooms are pretty simple, yet cozy and are where two of the events will take place- the temazcal and the cosmic dreamscape soundbath. They are individual rooms with a matrimonial bed.
The rooms rent for $700mx pesos per night (about $35)
They each have their own bathroom and there is a kitchen that is shared with one other person. Photos to come as they are just being finished- you would be one of the very first to stay!
The neighborhoods in Puerto are as follows:
La Punta- the neighborhood where the majority of the events will be held. This area is where there are a lot of international travelers, surf schools, a variety of restaurants and many yoga studios, etc.
Zicatela- this is the world-famous surf beach. There are plenty of restaurants and options to go out dancing and other night activities. In the morning you can watch the surfers as you walk on the beach.
Rinconada/Bococho- Although this is the neighborhood that is furthest from our sessions, it is still only a 10 min drive to where we are. This neighborhood tends to be a bit more chill and quite. One of the prettiest and calmest beaches is near here- Carazaillo. There are great restaurants and a small local organic store that sells products form their farm in this neighborhood.
