I Am Ceremony

I was trained in ceremony.

I am not great at it. But it has changed who I am.

It has taught be patience.

Ceremony showed me how to pray to the depths of my being.

Ceremony showed me how to listen to that voice in my head.

I take ceremony seriously.

Maybe a little too seriously sometimes.

And then there are times where I don’t take it seriously enough.

That is the thing about ceremony- it is ever-changing.

Always reflecting.

And never lying.

It is only me that lies to me.

It is only me that chooses to shift like water.

It is only me that understands the messages through the hyroglphs of ceremony.

Because I am ceremony.

Ceremony is me.
